POSITION/ROLE: Offshore Drilling Engineer – EC-Drill

REPORTING TO: OPERATIONS MANAGER

Position Summary/Key Goals

The Drilling Engineer shall assist in operational planning of EC-Drill jobs required by Project Manager/Operations Manager.
The Drilling Engineer shall work with EDR Offshore Supervisors and Engineers to ensure adequate preparation and operation of the EDR equipment to meet the operational requirements for each project.
The Drilling Engineer shall when required go into a rotational offshore schedule and be the EDR drilling engineering representative on the rig, working under the EC-Drill Offshore Supervisor. The Drilling Engineer will secure that the drilling and well operations are planned and executed in full compliance with Client and EDR requirements.

Area of Responsibility

• Provide Drilling support to the EC-Drill team offshore.
• Plan and follow up wells and EC-Drill projects as directed by Manager.
• Perform post well analyses and suggest improvements where required.
• Assisting role in Development of EC-Drill procedures.
• Prepare End Of Well Reports.
• Continuous improvement of all EDR’s equipment and services.
• Other activities as required from time to time by EDR Drilling Services.
• The Drilling Engineer will also provide drilling related engineering support to all other departments within EDR Drilling Services.

Competence 

• Bachelor or master’s Degree in petroleum engineering or similar.
• MPD experience.
• General Drilling/Well experience.
• Subsea Supervisor well control certificate. (IADC/IWCF)
• Knowledge of national and international codes and standards.
• Understanding of general offshore operations and HSEQ requirements, subsea technology and offshore drilling processes.
• Fit for offshore work:
o Valid HUET/BOSIET training
o Valid offshore medical exam
• English Azerbaijani languages verbal and written (Russian will be advantage)
