Role Summary/Place in organisation/Key Goals

The role of the HSEQ Manager will be to manage and support the development, implementation and maintenance of the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality elements of the company’s HSEQ Management System, and ensure that the goals and requirements of EDR HSEQ Policies and Standards are achieved in all activities.

Area of Responsibility

• Responsible for regional adherence in implementing, managing and improving EDR’s HSEQ Management System
• Responsible for EDR’s  ISO certification process, and implementation of the processes required by the ISO standards in the region
o Liaise with regulatory bodies to promote a constructive relationship
• Provide professional support and advice to regions Management Team and Staff on Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality matters.
• Manage regions Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Programme.
• Provide support in developing HSEQ performance indicators to measure company’s performance, and monitor compliance that plans, objectives and targets are met.
• Coordinate and analyses HSEQ statistics and data and report them to regional and HQ management team and propose improvements or actions as required
• Responsible for conducting or assisting in HSEQ audits onshore and offshore (as appropriate) according to EDR’s audit programme.
o Ensure findings are properly shared across the company and that persons and/or  department involved learn from the findings
• Lead and/or assist in incident Investigations, ensuring that methods of investigation and reporting are appropriate and that:
o correct corrective actions are implemented
o  ensure that lessons from the incident are communicated across region and company as appropriate
• Provide positive leadership and promote the adoption of best practice
• Responsible for developing, promoting and monitoring the HSEQ culture
• Assist Projects in the following, but not limited to:
o Evaluation of client HSEQ documentation
o Submission of HSEQ project statistics
o Completion of HSEQ sections for Client ITT
o Proactively identify foreseeable HSEQ risks
o Assist the Project Managers in risk mitigation measures
• Identify HSEQ training for all EDR’s regional personnel in order to meet the requirements of EDR’s business, ISO standards, and regulatory authorities in the operating regions or area

Competence 

Education  
• HSE Bachelor degree or equivalent
• Other technical education including 5 years relevant experience
• International Accredited Quality Auditor

Experience/Skills

Experience:
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience from the oil industry
• In IT programs relevant to area of responsibility (Microsoft, Sharepoint and/or other relevant software)
• With various industry standards like ISO, NORSOK, etc
• In working with external clients and understand their requirements

Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal English
• Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Analytical, structured and systematic
• Good auditing skills and experience
• Excellent motivational  skills
