Amec Foster Wheeler is a major Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for Structural Designer (National)

The successful candidates should have the following capabilities:

• At least 3 years related experience
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD
• Good communication and team working skills

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:

• General responsibility for the efficient running of projects as allocated by the Structural Engineer.
• Responsible for the planning of drawing execution and the execution of work within manhour budget and time schedule.
• Prepare layouts, designs, working sketches, technical descriptions and studies including offshore surveys as required, from which final drawing may be made,
• Prepare weekly work load forecast and review as necessary with the Structural Enigneer manpower requirements.
• Submit weekly progress and manhour reports using the plan to the Senior Structural Engineer covering major changes together with their cause and action taken.
• Immediately inform the Structural Engineer of any factors which are liable to affect manhours and/or progress of schedules completion dates, making use of the design change procedure.
• Ensure that no work outside the scope of the original budget is carried out without the approval of the Lead Designer.
• Document Control on the Sections requirements for the filling of drawings and other documents.  Keep all comment prints on file until the completion of the project.
• Ensure Project Design staff are correctly instructed on the standard methods and procedures and adequate information is given on Project requirements.
• Responsible for adherence to the Department Procedure for Design Safety in conjunction with the Principal Structural Engineer
• Ensure that all relevant Specifications, Codes Standards, Procedures and Technical Instructions from Engineering are being correctly applied.
• Review planning networks and other planning documents.  Confirm correctness of sequence of operation, by date and time intervals.
• Prepare and update Drawing, Bulk Material Requisition and MTO register in accordance with Project Procedures.
• Liaise and co-operation with other Sections in Engineering Department and ensure that major request/instructions from or to the Sections and Groups are confirmed in writing
• Keep abreast of new developments and review new and improved types of materials and equipment
• Conduct Offshore Surveys and reports as required.
• Participate in the development of CAD system as necessary
• To become familiar with the Upstream Oil & Gas Safety, Health and Environmental Policy.
