Inventory Analyst

The inventory Analyst develops local processes to control the flow of materials from the point of purchase to point of use and ensures that materials management is thoroughly integrated with other PML and logistics activities.
The IA also plays a critical role in developing local Inventory Control strategies to meet the end user needs by leveraging a network of supply partners, processes, tools and technology to provide the most advantageous cost within the optimal value proposition over the life of the material.
The IA is also required to be the subject matter expert in inventory management techniques (i.e. cycle counting, life cycle reviews, inventory preservation, staging, tagging, and delivery services, ABC inventory management techniques, etc).

Key accountabilities

•   Drive the Operator’s priorities towards an effective implementation of inventory management.
•   Lead the local Inventory Optimization initiatives and the associated value proposition (i.e. Inventory cause and effect relating to  Operational Lost production opportunities, Critical inventory spare availability and the cause and effect for the availability of critical equipment, understand the effect of inventory holding costs, carrying costs, and other cost concepts such as fixed, variable, direct, overhead, order, stockout, and landed costs)
•   Determine appropriate use and calculation of Inventory valuation techniques like FIFO and LIFO, MIN//Max level determination, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), and Lot sizing techniques.
•   Determine appropriate Inventory performance measurements and key metrics to evaluate inventory management efficiencies.
•   Lead the efforts for creation of Parts Lists and Bills of Material to assist in demand planning requirements.
•   Implementation of techniques to manage obsolete and dead inventory as well as inventory preservation for in stock items.
•   Proactively engage with key stakeholders to ensure an effectively implemented Material Inventory Strategy
•   Ongoing Analysis and Inventory Optimization of level and criticality information to ensure alignment of line material requirements with inventory strategy
•   Manage the ERP item master including sub elements Add, Change, Deactivate & Manage Critical Material;
•   Manage Critical Material ensuring criticality definition and link to Operational critical equipment strategy.
•   Manage Inventory Replenishment and Make-Up/Break-up processes.
•   Work with the stakeholders to establish Surplus Identification process and Disposition of Obsolete Material.
Development of Controlled Material Rotation and Tool Rental processes.

Education

University degree.

Essential experience and job requirements

• Azerbaijani National.
• Minimum 7 years of hands on experience in material management & logistics in oil and gas industry.
• Strong system and technical skills that support Materials Management (Maximo, SAP, SUN or similar)
• Knowledge of multiple inventory optimization algorithms and critical spare models.
• Knowledge of best practices in Material Planning and Control
• Knowledge on Drilling and Completions Materials.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
