Job title: Senior Tax Consultant

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan

Responsibilities:

• Supervising work of junior personnel on miscellaneous tax projects including oil and gas, cross border projects, indirect tax and customs etc.
• Preparing memoranda, letters, etc. relate to Azerbaijan tax issues and other deliverables such as financial statements and tax reports, international assignment services comprised of expatriate payroll keeping, calculation of taxes and filing of tax returns on behalf of clients
• Consulting and communicating with clients' senior management and auditors
• Data analysis and modeling to help clients understand the implications of different tax solutions
• Closely monitoring the client - tax authority relationship
• Preparing and presenting pitch proposals, client reports and recommendations
• Developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with client management
• Regularly updating information on market opportunities and identifying potential areas for additional work
• Developing junior staff

Requirements:

• University degree in taxation, economics or finance
• Minimum 3-4 years of tax consulting experience
• Solid knowledge of Azerbaijani tax legislation and basic knowledge of international taxation
• Relevant local or international qualification is a plus
• Fluent English, Azerbaijani and Russian
• Good communication and IT (at least Microsoft Office) skills
• Ability to supervise several projects simultaneously
• Motivation for professional development and career growth

• Readiness for day-to-day routine work
• Easy learner
