The non – governmental organization HEKS – EPER Azerbaijan is starting a project in Vocational Education. Overall goal of the project is improving the skills and capacities of farmers in selected regions that will result in improved farming productivity and livelihood of the rural population through contributing to the development of a system of high quality vocational training and extension services in agriculture in Azerbaijan.

For the project implementation HEKS Azerbaijan is looking for a Vocational Education Trainings (VET) officer.

Work location:   Barda/ Ganja

Duration: 4 years

Job description

HEKS-EPER Azerbaijan is looking for a VET officer for the implementation of a vocational education and training (VET) project. He / she will manage issues related to Pilot projects with VET schools. The officer will work closely with target VET schools and Azerbaijan State Agrarian University. Among other tasks he/she will :

- Participate in strategic planning of Project;
- Contribute to the development of curriculums;
- Backstop the specialists of the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University in implementing their mandate towards  the VET schools;
- Maintain relationship with private sector;

Qualifications

• Higher education, preferably in pedagogical, or agricultural related fields;
• Work experience with proven results in private sector and government and/ or donor relations;
• Knowledge and work experience in professional education projects, regulatory and supportive educational frameworks;
• Pro- active facilitation skills, result orientation, outstanding communication and networking skills;
• Ability to work independently, in a small team and under rather difficult conditions, ability to travel;
• Fluent Azeri and English language skills;
