Finance/administration Officer

The representative of HEKS-EPER organization to the Azerbaijan Republic will start a project in Vocational Education on behalf of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation - SDC. Overall goal of the project is improving the skills and capacities of farmers in selected regions that will result in improved farming productivity and livelihood of the rural population through contributing to the development of a system of high quality vocational training and extension services in agriculture in Azerbaijan.

Work location:   Ganja

Entry date:  January 01.2015

Duration: 4 years

In frame of the project the HEKS/EPER Azerbaijan is pleased to announce opening for position of finance/administration officer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Finance

• Maintain an office financial system in accordance with SDC and HEKS-/EPER policies and procedures.
• Calculate and organize salary payments.
• Provide bank statements of all bank accounts to Country director on a monthly basis.
• Prepare financial reports for donor.
• Fulfill all requirements of TAX inspection and Azerbaijan government.
• Ensure preparation of documentation for the audit.

Administration and programme

• Maintain an appropriate filing system for the project to accommodate all aspects of the HEKS/EPER work.
• Ensure the proper use and maintenance of project equipment and office supplies, bringing any problems to the attention of the project Team Leader.
• Ensure that HEKS/EPER capital asset inventory information is recorded.
• Support on sight monitoring visits.

The employee may be asked to perform duties and task not covered in this job description as well as to provide support to other areas when necessary

Profile

 Degree in finance or a related field
 Experience in a similar position, experience in an international or local development organization.
 Able to handle multiple tasks.
 Team player with a positive "can do" attitude.
