Job Title: Security (Logistics) Manager
Key Accountabilities
Reporting to the Senior Search and Screening Manager.
• Provide advice and guidance both written and oral on the Security implications surrounding Logistics and Catering Cleaning and Waste (CCW) Supply Chain
• Deliver, provide guidance (both written and oral) and support for the development of BEGOGs Games time security policies and procedures to ensure the effective integration between BEGOC functions and the GSA's.
• Manage and assist in the development of function operating plans, public safety plans and integration with the GSA's in particular surrounding:-
o Main Logistics Centre (MLC),
o Temporary Logistics Centre (TLC),
o Material Screening Facility (MSF)
o Vendor Certification Program (VCP),
o Arrival and departures of Athletes and European Games Family
o Deliveries of Goods and Services (CCW) to Venues.
• Manage Security Staff and resources within the MSF, MLC, TLC and those running the Vendor Certification Program.
• Create and submit regular progress reports as required.
Knowledge, experience and qualifications required
• Expert knowledge and practical experience (at a middle to senior manager role) of working within the Logistics Security environment.
• Proven track record at middle to senior manager role in Security and Logistics
• Previous Games Time experience or similar within this area of expertise.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English and where possible Azeri.
• PC literacy: knowledge of Microsoft Applications; with the ability to produce documents to a high standard of presentation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well organized and capable to meet deadlines.
• Capable to work efficiently under stress.
