Job Title: Event Services (EVS) Spectator Information Manager
Key accountabilities
Work in conjunction with Communications function to manage the content and methodology of Spectator Information design and delivery for all those attending the Baku 2015 European Games
Determine all stakeholders inside and outside of BEGOC who will be required to contribute to and have a vested interest in the information distributed to spectators
Devise and communicate all key milestones and project deliverables required to effectively distribute the required information to spectators at the appropriate time in advance of the Games
Effectively communicate stakeholder roles and responsibilities ensuring project deliverables are in line with overall functional project plans and critical milestones which may impact the content and accuracy of spectator information
Identify all available media tools, evaluate and select the most effective for the distribution of spectator information
Review and validate all content and work with stakeholders to ensure accuracy of information, ensuring changes and updates are captured, documented and communicated
Determine the operations and scope of information provided on venue via the Information Points
Contribute to the strategy and operational implementation of spectator related services i.e. Lost & Found Claims Center
Report project progress to the Senior Planning & Integration Manager identifying and escalating risks where required
Work with the EVS Training Manager to ensure all necessary spectator information content is incorporated into staff training programs
Monitor the effectiveness of spectator information content and delivery, responding accordingly to any required changes at Games Time
Monitor and control operations which impact the Spectator experience i.e. Lost & Found Claims Center
Knowledge, experience and qualifications required
Four years of full-time experience in Management positions within a marketing/communications capacity within the events/service industry
Knowledge of event services operations in sporting events is desirable
Advanced oral and written English language skills
Advanced level PC skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proven project management experience in a large multifunction organisation
Effective research, evaluation, analysis and communication skills
Previous budget management responsibility
Ability to manage planning and delivery across multiple stakeholders
Ability to implement strategy autonomously and deal with conflict resolution effectively
