Job Title: Senior Manager – Operational Health & Safety

Key accountabilities

Planning

• Provide the key link between Venue Management and all of the other BEGOC operational functions and their operations in regards to Health & Safety Management
• Develop tools and support documentation for the venue operational and planning teams to adapt to their venues
• Provide assurance over the management plans for Games venues, particularly in relation to health & safety
• Regularly communicate, formally and informally, to both Venue teams, senior staff and Directors in relation to Health & Safety Management
• Develop and support the venue teams to manage venue & operational risks

Delivery

• Provide leadership and guidance to venue operational teams in regards to the implementation of their Health & Safety Management plans
• Manage, where required, key support staff to support the implementation of such plans
• Monitor the implementation of venue health & safety management plans and deal with issues which arise

Other

• Identify key methodologies and mechanisms which can add legacy value to Games venues and the event industry in Azerbaijan, specifically in relation to Health & Safety Management

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required 

• Experience in the planning and delivery of Health & Safety in the major event industry or complex operations
• Experience in Health & Safety planning, process development and risk management
• Track record in planning and implementing large scale health & safety operations
• Successful track record in managing complex and multi-functional operations from inception through to delivery
• Familiarity with sports, entertainment and / or hospitality industry concepts
