VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. It directs and coordinates the international relief activities conducted by the Movement in situations of conflict. It also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles. Established in 1863, the ICRC is at the origin of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
The ICRC Delegation in Azerbaijan is seeking candidate, male or female, for the position of:

 
IT Technician (Grade 5)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Is responsible of the maintenance and installation of IT equipment in a small to medium structure
• Executes technical tasks on IT equipment such as maintenance, repair, installation independently
• Knows ICRC IT procedures and policies and ensures they are applied and respected
• Ensures and is responsible for the storage of material and software
• Supervises and coaches junior IT staff and radio operators
• Contributes to budget elaboration
• Provides basic support to users

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

• High Education (University or Institute)
• 4-year work experience in a similar field of activity
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Azerbaijani, very good knowledge of Russian
• Very good computer literacy
• Good rigor, method and analytical skills
• Capacity to train and to supervise
• Good knowledge of VHF and HF

This is a full-time position and the selected candidate will start as soon as possible.
