Position Overview:

As a Commissioning Engineer with an electrical background, you will be responsible for the commissioning, testing, and validation of electrical systems and equipment. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure that all electrical components meet design specifications and operational requirements before being handed over to the client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commissioning & Testing: Oversee and perform commissioning activities for electrical systems, including testing, calibration, and verification to ensure compliance with  project specifications and industry standards.                                                                                                                   
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning reports, including test results, operational procedures, and any anomalies or issues encountered.                                                                      
• Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical issues and malfunctions during the commissioning phase to ensure smooth operation and functionality.                                                              
• Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and contractors, to ensure that all electrical systems are integrated correctly and function as intended.                                                                                                                                            
• Compliance: Ensure that all electrical installations adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.                                                                                                                   
• Training: Provide technical support and training to end-users and maintenance staff on the operation and upkeep of electrical systems and equipment.                                                                                     
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and improvement of commissioning processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical commissioning, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical testing and commissioning equipment, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Electrical Technician) are preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to electrical systems.
• Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
