Position: Research Editor
Caspian Center for Energy and Environment (CCEE)
POSITION SUMMARY
ADA University is seeking Research Editor to join Caspian Center for Energy and Environment to take a leading role in the development and implementation of research programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate the research pillar of CCEE;
• Write energy and environment related papers, including weekly editorials;
• Establish and liaise with CCEE network of experts, identify relevant issues, provide for the sustainable supply of policy and research papers;
• Organize the publication of a quarterly periodical on Caspian Energy and Environment in the current year;
• Manage fund-raising for energy and environment research;
• Delegate activities and provide guidance to junior staff at CCEE;
• Demonstrate solid research and English-language expertise, and the knowledge of energy and environment industry of the wider Caspian region;
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
• University degree is required;
• At least 3 years of professional publishing or business information experience, preferably with a basis in independent research and analysis;
• Excellent writing skills, including the ability to summarize complex information clearly;
• Excellent knowledge of English and Azeri languages, good command of Russian is an advantage;
• Excellent organization and communication skills;
• Ability to work under pressure.
