LAB ASSISTANT

The School of Information Technologies and Engineering (SITE) at ADA University invites candidates of professional accomplishment to apply for the Lab Assistant position starting in the Spring 2020 semester. As the Lab Assistant, you will work with faculty to maintain lab equipment and workspace in order and prepare lab rooms for scheduled lab sessions. The successful candidate will have a technical background, be familiar with different types of equipment, know lab procedures and understand the importance of maintaining a clean workspace by following all lab regulations for health and safety.

In addition to having strong attention to detail, you must be responsible and demonstrate excellent communication skills. If you thrive in academic environment that require a professional with drive and responsibility, then you could be our ideal candidate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain e.g. classify and label the lab inventory.
• Support faculty in preparing lab rooms for classes.
• Comply with the standard procedures, policies, and health and safety regulations.
• Stay informed with the latest industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
• Document all activities, results and report back to management.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and tidy.
• Undertake basic administrative tasks such as filing.
• Undertake any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• At least Bachelor’s degree in Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
• Experience with maintaining inventory.
• Good understanding of laboratory systems and laboratory equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Azerbaijani.
