Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Experience in installation, maintenance, and overhaul of drilling equipment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of operation and maintenance of automated control system.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of operation and maintenance of Variable Frequency Drive systems.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of HMH/NOV automated drilling systems.
  • Good understanding of CMMS (SAP advantageous) and how to maintain the preventative maintenance program in accordance with Group repair and preventative maintenance procedures as directed by immediate supervisor.
  • Must be willing to attend, meetings and additional training, as may be required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate how to read and interpret Systems & instrumentation drawings to a competent level.
  • Must be able to direct the personnel under their authority in the practical steps necessary to ensure that all working places are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition and all working practices employed are safe.
  • Must be able to demonstrate that all work is carried out to the requirements of the Permit-to-Work system and in compliance with Safety Procedures in force, must be able to initiate Permit-to-Work as necessary within their discipline and ensures all safety precautions are carried out.

Key Skills/Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical education or recognized industry apprenticeship.
  • Min of 3 years’ experience on Drilling Rig, or previous suitable equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Offshore Drilling equipment.
  • Good English language skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Valid CompEx certificate is desirable.
  • Microsoft Office literate (MS Office & Windows mandatory, SAP desirable).
  • Be able to work in an integrated team and adaptability.
  • Proven good safety ethic.
