Job Title: Graduate Chemical Engineer

Role Outline

A Graduate Chemical Engineer is required for the Company Consulting business based in Baku, Azerbaijan.  You will be working as part of a team on engineering and consultancy assignments to deliver a wide range of process engineering activities which may include front end project design packages, verification of project and existing process plant designs to standards, codes and best practices, process relief system design and verification, HAZOPS, energy studies, environmental improvement projects and plant support. Although you will be based at Baku, Azerbaijan, the nature of the work will give you the opportunity to see a wide range of Process Industries with the potential to travel overseas, in particular to the UK for personal training and development.
You will be working on real projects, and wherever you are working you will be contributing from your first day and be able to demonstrate your skills, abilities, motivation and commitment, making a positive contribution to the company's bottom line.
We will work with you to provide the training, experience and development you need to become one of our future engineers, consultants or managers.  We will support you to become professionally registered with the appropriate institution, and provide you with a mentor throughout your development programme.  Development is centred around solving real business problems, individually or in teams and also collaboration with fellow graduates from the Company graduate programme on assigned courses and projects.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

- The ability to travel is required to be able to visit client sites, so applicants must have a valid passport and be able to secure a UK visa
- Good presentation skills are essential.
- Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Good problem solving skills.

Desirable

- A relevant Masters degree is desirable but not essential, as well as a minimum 2:1 Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering or other numerate discipline.
- Process industry experience is an advantage, especially in the Oil and Gas, Chemical and Power sectors
