AMEC is a major Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for Graduate Technical Safety Engineer (National)

The successful candidates should have:

• Experience of basic risk assessment processes and be aware of and develop comprehension of engineering/safety vocabulary
• Experience of effectively managing documentation (auditable trail)
• Good Technical Report writing skills
• Good Communication skills
• Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary Team.
• Computer literacy is essential.
• Develop and understanding and interpretation of Project Documents, PFDs, PIDs, PSFDs, Datasheets,
• ISOs Specifications, C&E, Safe Charts
• Develop competency in operating Technical safety Software (HAZOP Spreadsheets).
• Develop competency in BP’s Action Tracking Database PMCS (To be rolled out).
• Must be working toward Engineering/Science qualification

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:

• Populate and track actions assigned to individuals by formal risk assessment session or workshop.
• Expedite resolution of actions arising from project design safety reviews and become responsible for various close out tracking systems.
• Reporting actions close-out progress against schedule to Senior Technical Safety Engineer
• Attend risk assessments and risk reviews in accordance with existing procedures.
• To work under technical supervision and guidance on a project. To gain knowledge of appropriate codes of practice and standards.
• To work for the Lead / Senior Technical Safety Engineer or his nominated deputy or under the supervision of the department manager within another disciplines team.
• Be aware of the Company HSE Policy and the arrangements described in the Company and area Safety Management System documents within projects.
• Perform limited analytical calculation under supervision.
• Attend Risk Assessment workshops to provide notes of meeting in support of Technical safety Engineers.
• Self development in understanding key Risk Assessment techniques and terminology (HAZOP / HAZID, WHAT-IF, LOPA, BOW-TIE, ALARM).
