QA/QC Welding Inspector

AMEC is a major Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for QA/QC Welding Inspector (National).

The successful candidates should have:

• Welding Inspector Level 2 qualification, with a minimum of 5 years experience at that level
• Involvement with the Offshore Oil & Gas and/or Onshore Petrochemical Industry.
• Exposure to structural, piping, coatings, site installation, mechanical equipment and pressure vessels.
• Ability to understand project specifications, procedures and national standards
• Good communication skills and able to remain calm under pressure
• Team player with keen desire to develop and succeed.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:

• Check material certification at ASCO SPS warehouse and release for issue in PaMMs database
• Perform material receipt inspection and certification review at supervised Contractors
• Raise non-conformance reports (NCR) for material certification issues
• Carry out inspection activities as indicated on approved ITPs for material control, structural & piping fabrication, pressure testing, surface preparation & coating
• Review and approve supervised Contractors fabrication dossiers
• Maintain and issue Fabrication Register
• Liaise with AGT CatB Project Engineer to resolve quality related issues
• Prepare and issue a weekly Fabrication Inspection Report
