Database (SQL) Developer (1 year contract)

Job Description:

• Develop database tables and dictionaries.
• Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
• Gathering, Reviewing and translating reporting business requirements to technical requirements. 
• Creating reports, extracts, dashboards, and guided ad hoc reports, primarily using SSRS, PowerBI.
• Test databases and perform bug fixes.
• Identify any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures.
• Ensure data quality and integrity in databases.
• Participate in database design and architecture to support application development projects.
• Prepare design specifications and functional documentations for assigned database projects.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 4+ years' experience working with SQL development background writing complex stored procedures and expressions, referential data integrity concepts and error handling.
• High level of TSQL language proficiency with SQL Server
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server products, such as (SQL Server 2017, SQL Server Reporting, SQL Server Analytical Services, Power BI)
• 2+ years of insurance or banking work experience
• Knowledge and experience with data modeling 
• Familiarity  modern data warehouse architectures and data warehouse modernization techniques
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git / TFS/ Red Gate
