HSE Manager will be responsible for maintaining, developing, leading and supporting a strong environmental, health and safety culture within the projects.
- Establish and ensure the implementation of annual HSE action plans
- Leads all the HSE aspects of the projects
- Develop and implement a safety program for each site to capture specific risk
- Develop a contractor training program specific for site, in compliance with ACWA POWER HSE policies
- Develop and propose strategies improving HSE management within the organization
- Set up an effective Accident Prevention Plan and also set up a contingency plan.
- Lead inspection on construction site when construction is ongoing
- Establish HSE Reporting and Provide HSE Training
- Perform periodic HSE Audits to site
- Demonstrate HSE & Security Regulatory Compliance
Key Requirements:
- Power Plant or Heavy Industrial EPC project experience is preferred.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / HSE or related field.
- Minimum 10 to 12 years of experience in delivering health, safety and environment for projects
- Experience in implementation, maintaining and auditing of the OSHA18001 and ISO14001 Management System
- HSE training and certification like NEBOSH, Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM), etc.
- Familiarity of Industry Standards and relevant industry HSE regulations and requirements.
- Knowledge of behavioral based safety systems, risk analysis / job safe analysis methods, emergency response and crisis management procedures.
- Excellent skills in problem solving, team building, ingenuity and initiative are required to coordinate problem resolution and to execute schedule requirements within a team environment.
