Metro systems Engineer

National (Bachelors Degree, 10 years experience in metro systems, or equivalent), will carry out, but will not be limited to, the following tasks:

• Review Baku metro development plan, focusing on proposed equipment, systems and technical specifications;
• In the case of proposed metro station(s) improvements and metro extensions for which detailed technical specifications for equipment and systems are available, and which have been selected for financing under the Facility: (a) undertake sound review; (b) comment and provide independent opinion on technological choices – particularly regarding compatibility of internationally manufactured products with Russian systems; (c) update with a particular focus on universal accessibility and safety; (d) provide inputs to the procurement specialist to prepare draft bidding documents – if selected for financing under tranche 1; and (e) provide inputs for consulting services for construction supervision;
• In the case of metro station(s) improvements and metro extensions for which design is not available and which have been selected for financing under the Facility: (a) prepare preliminary functional and technical specifications with a particular focus on universal accessibility and safety; and (b) provide inputs to prepare consulting services packages for detail design and construction supervision;
