Traffic Model Engineer

National engineer (Bachelors Degree, 5 years experience), will carry out, but will not be limited to, the following tasks:

• Review the existing Transcad traffic model and identify surveys needed to build a solid database and update the traffic model towards a proper multimodal model;
• Conduct surveys, update the traffic model with new data and elaborate a multimodal transport forecasting model, assign new traffic developments, calibrate and test. The new traffic model should: (a) describe the current situation; (b) test various scenarios with different horizon years; (c) analyze the impacts of these scenarios on traffic, parking and public transport system; and (d) help defining long term objectives of the urban transport roadmap and short term improvements through projects proposed under tranche 1;
• Recommends a balanced and cost efficient urban transport system, based on the results;
