Key Accountabilities:

• Apply applicable cost controls policies, procedures, processes, guides, tools, and templates.
• Maintain compliance with BP Published Guidelines and Projects Common Process as it relates to cost controls and Projects Services in general
• In alignment with approved Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), ensure the development of appropriate project budgets, escalation, and allowances, based upon stage gate authorizations and approved cost estimates
• Provide comprehensive and accurate cost reporting utilizing data from both bp systems and contractor supplied information including appropriate level of analysis to ensure a "no surprise" approach.
• Closely monitor cost performance against realistic targets to ensure that objectives and key performance indicators are met.
• Manage change control process including maintenance of the UAP drawdown management plan.
• Assist in the development of and monitor appropriate performance indicators (KPIs) to help track project progress and performance
• Provide relevant and specific expertise to identify and mitigate cost related issues.  Provide relevant advice and guidance with regards to the cost control process
• Help identify risks and cost reduction opportunities and uncertainties
• Prepare final cost reports and financial closeout documentation, reconciliations, and reports
• Invoice and timesheets verification
• Support continuous improvement efforts for the cost team and assigned controls team. 

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

• Demonstrated proficiency in project controls systems.
• Knowledge of and experience with stage-gated project execution processes.
• Understanding of Front-End Loading concepts, engineering, and project development.
• Demonstrated capability to support multiple projects of various sizes and complexity.
• Strong organization, teamwork, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills 
• Knowledge of database applications, e.g., MS access, SAP, CCTS, EPOCH, ECOSYS and MS Excel (pivot tables, macros, and spreadsheets)
• Use of P6 for maintaining accurate cashflows 
• Knowledge of EVM
