Identify and reduce all business and financial risks through effective implementation and monitoring of controls. Assist in development of the annual risk assessment and audit plan.
Lead planned audits into the company, including organizing teams, inspecting accounts, checking compliance with applicable laws, detecting ineffective or inefficient practices and verifying financial records.
Supervising junior auditing personnel and implementing their research work into the auditing process.
Develop and maintain the credibility of the Internal Audit function by complying with professional auditing standards and remaining current with the latest developments and standards for the auditing profession.
Prepare written reports of audit results and reviews with appropriate management personnel; makes recommendations for the correction of problems noted during the audit and follows up on audit recommendations to ensure implementation.
Bringing company strengths and weaknesses to the attention of management and providing advice as they develop responses or fixes for these issues.
Analyzing, evaluating, developing, and implementing new control systems that optimize operations.
Personally oversee particularly sensitive or contentious audits and investigations of suspected fraud, impropriety, or mismanagement.
Develop, implement and maintain internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practice.
Ensure compliance with the company’s Code of Conduct, policies and promotion of ethical practices.
Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information is reported to Management and/or Risk Committees.
Handling additional duties and special projects to ensure the business is operating efficiently and in compliance with all current regulations.
Overall supervision of planned annual audits.
Supervise junior auditors to ensure professional standards and success of internal projects.
