AMEC is a major Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for Material Controller.
The successful candidates should have:
· To be able to establish and manage the Materials function
· To have the capability to carry out some procurement work when required and some technical knowledge is preferred
· To have experience of site works/conditions
· Must be able to communicate well.
· Ability to work well with others and provide support and assistance to cover peak work load
· To have a flexible approach to duties especially during busy periods and provide role overlap
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:
· Lead the Project Materials Management Team and ensure compliance with the approved procedures.
· Liaise with Engineering and Planning to identify the full scope of materials and equipment supply and establish ROS dates accordingly.
· Account for material and equipment in an agreed coding structure throughout all stages of the project.
· Establish recommended contingency allowances for all bulk materials.
· Review bulk requisitions completed by Engineering for materials content and allocate stock
· Monitor purchase orders to ensure that all materials control requirements are advised to suppliers.
· Allocate material and equipment to fabrication and construction sites and advise Procurement of the point of delivery.
· Monitor material requirements for each fabrication and construction site and ensure availability of materials, fit for purpose, throughout all stages of the project.
· Monitor material deliveries against ROS dates, identify potential shortages and ensure that corrective action is taken by the relevant department.
· Prepare and monitor all OS&Ds and ensure that replacement materials are supplied, or corrective action taken as necessary.
· Provide Materials Management input to sub-contracts as required.
· Prepare status reports as required by Project Management.
· Develop system to bag and tag items for workpacks/job cards offshore requirements.
· Work to contract KPI’s and participate in achieving KPI targets as set by the Department
· Understand the Health & Safety Responsibilities (ref. SHEQ Responsibilities attached) are adhered to and understood
