Key responsibilities:
- Identify and define business needs and goals;
- Collaborate proactively with business stakeholders and development team to - reach a common understanding of the solution to address the needs;
- Interact with product managers on roadmap definition;
- Suggest improvements and appropriate solution options;
- Build and optimize algorithms while using machine learning techniques;
- Track and report project progress;
- Extend company’s data with third party sources of information when needed;
- Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems;
- Process, clean, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis;
- Communicate the results of research to the product team;
Requirements:
- 2+ Data Science experience with Python;
- Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as Generalized Linear Regression, Gradient Boosting, Extreme Gradient Boosting, K-nearest Neighbors, Support Vector Machines, Random forest etc;
- Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL;
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as PowerBI, Tableau, Plotly (python) etc;
- Experience with common data science toolkits, such as Anaconda, GitHub, Docker etc;
- Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression etc;
- Good scripting and programming skills;
- Great communication skills;
- Data-oriented personality;
