National Consultant (Data Collection and Analysis)

Responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Coach the CSOs personnel in different methods of data collection and how they can be applied in their daily activity and provide other relevant consultancy supporting CSOs to improve reporting on service provision.
  • Train in collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data and observe the improvement of personnel during consultancy at the offices of CSOs
  • Provide recommendations on developing data collection quality standards
  • Guide the CSO management in developing data collection plan as a roadmap for what and how data should be collected and in designing data quality control protocols
  • Introduce types of reports fitted to purpose and audience, report structures and to Do’s and not to Don’ts in report writing.
  • Demonstrate and instruct on how to choose appropriate visuals such as charts, graphs, and tables to present figures
  • Create a report template based on the needs and types of reports developed by CSO
  • Create a toolkit in Azerbaijani language to be used as a guide in report writing for the CSO personnel

Education, Experience and/or skills required:

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of experience as a trainer in data collection and report writing
  • Advanced and demonstrated data collection and analysis skills both in quantitative and qualitative data
  • At least five years of experience in conducting training on data collection and report writing skills 
  • Demonstrated experience and strong capacity in developing quality data collection protocols and guidelines in report writing
  • Excellent consulting skills, proven facilitation and good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to transfer complex concepts and ideas into practical and straightforward language
  • Experience in working with civil society organisations

Languages:

  • Azerbaijan language – Native Speaker
  • English language – Fluent
