Qualifications & Experience:  

Education:                                Higher education
Work Experience: 2 years’ or more experience in a similar role within Oil and Gas Industry
Knowledge of Languages: English (fluent), Azerbaijani (fluent).

Responsibilities: 
HSE Assurance & Environmental Officer is the person responsible for the HSE Assurance & Environmental compliance process and reports to Project HSE Manager.

His / Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Develop / ensure the Project Environmental, HSE Assurance and Audit procedures are kept up to date and regularly reviewed for improvements;
Maintenance of Project Environmental Management system
Providing HSE requirements for PRs, performing the Subcontractor evaluation and selection process
Assisting with review and update HSE plans and procedures when assigned to do so;
Monitoring for changes in legislation and advising of eventual required changes to ensure compliance of Project HSE Management System and procedures, maintain the pertaining register.
Identify the Environmental Aspects and assess the Environmental Impacts, maintain the pertaining register.
Conduct/participate in the scheduled inspections, audits and reporting actions with respect to safety, health, hygiene, welfare, environment, procurement, human resources, sub-contractors, etc. and ensure these are timely flagged, planned, assigned and auctioned upon;
Ensure a log is kept on the follow-up actions for each (or an overall consolidated log) of the various types of assurances, and the outstanding actions are regularly flagged to assigned persons;
Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual narrative, statistical, graphical, web reports to BP, Saipem, and governmental authorities as required;
Advise others on proper inspection and auditing issues and techniques, including reporting requirements.
Ensure Site Managers are aware of their respective duties arising out of the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and associated Procedures;
Ensure Site Managers have assigned local EWM Coordinators for environmental and waste management (EWM) duties;
Ensure EWM Coordinators regularly provide documents and reports as required under the Environmental Management Plan;
Regularly coordinate with local EWM Coordinators on environmental and waste matters;
Provide training to relevant personnel on all matters regarding EMP and associated Procedures;
Ensure all EMP reporting is included in Assurance cycle;
Other duties and tasks, as necessary (e.g., assisting with project statistical data, making arrangements for external training, translating the documents etc.), as assigned by HSE Manager
