Services include:

  • Implement standardised Project Controls tools, procedures and processes geared to proposing, controlling and managing all work on the programme
  • Ensure accurate management of total programme schedule, cost and risk, seamlessly integrated with closer term current year and day to day management
  • Demonstrate compliance with all related industry best practices and standards
  • Interface with engineering, construction, procurement and contracts to ensure compliance with execution strategy and objectives
  • Provide detailed analysis of schedule and cost variances, tracking against contingency and risk drawn downs, aligned with changes
  • Develop, implement and maintain project control related interfaces with all client and partner company systems to ensure accurate and timely transmission of data with the minimum effort
  • Provide status information and related analysis to the project manager, project team and programme director
  • Interface with sponsors, stakeholders, customers, contractors and other outside personnel to ensure integration of project controls tools and the easy flow of data and information
  • Participate in developing and presenting project controls training classes
  • Provide technical direction to project assigned project controls personnel
  • Provide day-to-day supervision to project assigned PC personnel
  • Provide special studies and other support as required by project managers and programme director
  • Responsible for the hiring of project controls staff
  • Provide career development guidance of project controls staff
  • Interface with programme director to provide corporate project status reporting
  • Continually evaluate current status and facilitate the advancement of systems and tools to equal best in industry
  • Conduct their business in support of the company with a view to fulfilling client requirements, focusing first on external relationships before internal objectives
  • Protect the company through the highest standards of confidentiality, respecting that the company may have restrictive covenant, by contract or other agreement, with any client
  • Perform any other duty as may be reasonably required to fulfil the obligations of the company and to capture any business opportunity that arises for the company
  • Develop and maintain a set of undertakings and assurances during negotiations with stakeholders and third parties, which meet their concerns while controlling the overall cost of the Project;
  • Secure a funding programme for the implementation of the project;
  • Develop and establish the commercial agreements necessary for the delivery of the project;
  • Ensure value for money at each stage of development.

Education:

  • Degree in business, engineering or relevant.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • At least 15 years' experience on large projects
  • Hands-on experience in at least project costing or project planning
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of the Guide to the Project Management
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Analytical with attention to detail
  • Ability to implement systems, processes and procedures.
