Position: Lifting Equipment Inspection Supervisor
 
 
Main Requirements to Candidate:
 
Essential:
 
•   Must have completed a High school, or equivalent, education
•   Must have valid Level 1 certification, in accordance with ASNT and Weatherford qualification policies, in the methods required
•   Certification to perform Visual Inspection of Lift Equipment
•   Good command of English Language – Oral/Written
•   Minimum 3 years’ experience with inspection (NDT & NDE) of lift equipment
•   Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written
•   Must be a good team player
•   Must have a responsible attitude towards work environment
•   Must maintain a professional demeanor and attitude
                                     
Preferred:
 
•    A relevant trade skill – mechanic / electrician etc.
•    Valid driving license
•    LEEA qualifications for Lift Equipment
•    Ideally work experience in an apprenticeship program in the mechanical or metals industry for at least one year.
•    Good eyesight (near vision acuity ) and color vision
•    Self study on non-destructive techniques
•    Self study on materials and process technologies
•    Knowledge on NDT equipment
 
Key Job Responsibilities
 
•    Maintain State and Client’s recognized certifications required to perform stipulated inspections or tests
•    Follow all applicable work instructions, work procedures, and Industry specifications.
•    Plan and schedule all required NDT inspections at the workshop as instructed by Operations Manager or his designated representative.
•    Review and approve all NDT inspection reports
•    Maintain inspection report records and document registers
•    Ensure all test equipment is in calibrated condition according to Company & Industry standards
•    Maintain NDT personnel competency records and routinely update personnel assessments
•    Ensure all NDT personnel use all required PPE while working at the TRS workshop: coverall, hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses, gloves.
•    Perform daily walk round checks of the inspection work area’s to ensure safe work practices
•    Ensure all work performed is of a high workmanship standard
