National Trainers

GIZ GmbH, German International Development and Cooperation Agency is looking for national trainers with experience and expertise in delivering relevant courses for export companies. 
 
Qualifications needed:

 1.Good working knowledge of the subject areas (export procedures, marketing, quality management, expansion to new markets, trade fair participation)
2.First hand experience of working in the international business environment
3.Excellent skills and extensive experience in training and facilitating workshops
4.Ability to develop their own training content and materials
5.Experience of working with senior managers and owners of businesses

Modules that will have to be delivered as part of a new program are for example:

Who is your customer?

–      Understand the distribution chain and buying process for their product
–      Evaluate the risks and opportunities of selling direct compared to selling through intermediaries
–      Appreciate the role and services of importers and distributors
–      Recognise the most appropriate customer for their business
–      Understand buyer attitudes to suppliers
View the buyer as their partner and consider ways of increasing their value to their partner
 
Improving your competitive advantage

–      Sources of competitive advantage for their product
–      The importance of analysing competitors – who they are and what they offer
-       Ways of improving their attractiveness to buyers, e.g. using terms of business as a marketing tool
–      The importance of Buyer power vs. Seller power (Can you differentiate on price and quality?)
–      Inbound marketing tools and techniques and how to use them to help customers find their products
 
Getting your product to the customer

 Quality management and certification
-    Import  regulations and customs documentation for target markets – EU, USA, Russia and UAE
–      Where to look for information
–      Important requirements and typical problems for hazelnuts, tea and juice
–      Contracts and Terms of Business
–      Inco terms 2010 – reducing uncertainty about the Transfer of Risk associated with transporting and delivering goods
–      Transfer of Ownership
 
Improving the security of doing business

–      International trade operation and challenges
–      Main financial risks in internaitonal trade
–      Documentaiton of international trade
–      Main payment methods in international trade
–      Letter of Credit and its types
–      International bank guarantees
–      Encashment (collection of payment) operations
 
Customer retention – Managing and maintaining customer relationships
–      View their customer as their partner
–      Learn about customers – what they buy, from whom, terms, volumes
–      Listen to customers – ask for and respond to feedback
–      Give customers a consistently good experience at all points of contact with their business
–      Deal promptly with customer enquiries and problems
–      Spend time with customers
–      Make it easy for customers to communicate with them
–      Identify growth opportunities with existing customers
