Job title Material Control Engineer

FUNCTION:
To ensure that Project Construction site supplied with materials and services required for effective operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving
‐ Expedite discrepancies upon request
–Deliver received materials
‐ Manage to Unloading trucks
‐ Detailed checking of material
‐ Matching of material to packing slips
‐ Matching of packing slips to purchase orders
‐ Tagging and identification of material
‐ Preparing receiving reports
‐ Investigating discrepancies
‐ Notifying end users of arrival of material
‐ Filing documents
‐ Posting of inventory receipts to computer
‐ Copying documents and distribution of documents
Housekeeping
‐ Daily cleaning up
‐ Consistent and periodic cleaning of shelves, racks, floors and bulk storage areas 4.
Warehousing
‐ Proper binning and palletizing of inventory
‐ Repackaging of inventory
‐ Protecting inventory from damage, corrosion, and deterioration
‐ Maintaining inventory ‐ i.e. rotation of shafts re‐warehousing, restocking shelves
‐ Inspecting inventory and storage areas
‐ Maintaining up‐to‐date records of location of inventory
‐ Maintaining inventory labels
Inventory Replenishment
‐ Checking current stock status during the monthly cycle count
‐ Liaising with inventory control to determine appropriate minimum/maximum levels of stock
and standardization of packages and units of measures
Servicing Counter
‐ Issuing inventory and consumable items
‐ Issuing direct charge items
‐ Stock returns
‐ Posting of issues/returns to computer
‐ Deliver material to end user
‐ Managing repairable items
Inventory Control
‐ Preparing and distributing inventory reports
‐ Preparing and distributing inventory catalogues
‐ Checking system stock on inventory levels with purchaser
‐ Coding materials into inventory
‐ Maintain all computer changes to inventory items
‐ Responsible for stores locating system
‐ Responsible for stores labeling system
‐ Inventory layout and set‐up
Other ‐ Assist in other site operations, for which you are qualified, as required.
