Title: Enterprise Network Engineer
Job Responsibilities
The Enterprise Network Engineer is accountable for the design, deployment and operational management of LAN and WAN network systems. The Enterprise Network Engineer is dealing with senior stakeholders and taking over responsibility from the team manager when required, leading and mentoring the more junior engineers in the team. The Enterprise Network Engineer is contributing to pre-sales activity, assisting with development of design documentation and producing technical proposal to Project Manager. Enterprise Network Engineer shall have strong technical knowledge, expertise in configuration and troubleshooting of network equipment and hands-on experience in troubleshooting of network related problems.
The responsibilities of Enterprise Network Engineer include:
• Performing client consulting in the area of network engineering (hardware and software)
• Providing Planning, Design, implementation and support of LANs and WANs using the latest technology.
• Identifying and troubleshooting hardware and software technical problems related to LANs/WANs.
• Conducting throughput analysis, problem solving, and infrastructure planning.
• Providing upgrades and optimization of various networks.
• Understanding client's infrastructures, their needs and providing expertise and consulting on Cisco, HP, Juniper, Palo Alto, Check Point and Avaya solutions.
• Developing and delivering professional proposals, including design documentation.
• Coordinating conference calls for technical issues to provide status of open opportunities and resource requirements to management.
• Serving as a liaison between company and the customer regarding the implementation and maintenance of systems.
• Analysing log files, performance issues, and the production environment for mission critical systems.
Request Skills
• More than 5 years hands on experience with installing and troubleshooting Network Infrastructure, firewalls, routers, switches.
• Experience working in large enterprise network environments.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and ability to install and troubleshoot LANs and WANs.
• Experience designing network solutions given client requirements and goals.
• Self-motivation and a desire to succeed.
Education and certification
• CCNP, CCDP, CCIE or equivalent certification of other brands.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related subject
• Upper-intermediate knowledge of Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages.
Hours and Environment
The working hours are 40 hours a week. However, if there are major problems, like a network fault to be fixed, or there's major new software to be installed, Network Field Engineer will need to work late or at weekend. This would be necessary, as during normal office hours, IT maintenance can be disruptive to the business. There’s also a possibility of being on call to cover any problems that might occur outside of normal working hours.
