Insulation and Painting Quality Inspector

Duties and responsibilities

• Quality control of all painting, fireproofing work stages as well as foam glass insulation of pipes and tanks if any;
• Carry out of tests of anticorrosive, fire-protective and insulating coatings and coordination of the corresponding material;
• Control of compliance with the requirements of paint specifications, technological regulations, on the basis of which paint and insulation work is carried out;
• Ensure compliance with painting specification requirements and process regulations on the basis of which the painting works are performed;
• Issuance of default observation reports, ensuring its implementation, preparation of reports and official correspondence;
• Review of subcontractor applicable documentation;
• Review and approval of method statements;
• Verification of General Work Logs and anticorrosion logs in accordance with local requirements.

Knowledge & Qualifications

• University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent;
• Valid certification as a must:
• CSWIP Level 2
• NACE Level 2
• FROSIO Level 2

Experience

• Relevant experience in construction/modernisation of oil & gas /industrial sector/ EPC projects large refinery plants;
• At least 10 years of experience in coating and painting field;
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience in QA/QC;
• Similar role covered in last projects, of comparable size;
• Experience working on Contractor side.

Skills and Abilities

• Native Azerbaijani speaker;
• Fluent English;
• Excellent IT and analytical skills;
• Attention to detail, excellent communications skills;
• Strong interpersonal, team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
