VACANCY: Program Manager - Finance

Main Responsibilities

• Working in close cooperation with NGO and social enterprises to consolidate budgets and proposal planning
• Prepare regular financial management reports to assist in expenditure analysis and programmatic forecasting
• Projecting monthly and yearly expenditure to ensure that cash flow is continuous
• Ensuring compliance with NGO and SME legislation
• Monitoring income generation and supporting sales structures
• Reports to Director

Job Essentials:

 Bachelor’s degree in economics, Finance, or related fields
 Masters degree in a similar field is an asset
 At least 5 years of experience in the financial management field, ideally within the commercial sector
 Certified qualifications in accounting practices
 Fluency in English/Azerbaijani languages
 Regional travel will be required

United Aid for Azerbaijan (UAFA), is a leading child welfare NGO working in Azerbaijan since 1998. UAFA staff provide a range of early childhood development services, working in more than 20 regions of Azerbaijan. UAFA has mixed sources of funding – grants, donations, service contracts, State tenders and social enterprise contributions.

UAFA is looking for an experienced and skilled Finance Manager to lead UAFA’s financial management and establish a strong infrastructure to manage growth based on social enterprise development.

Current programs:

‘’Məktəbim – Women-led, Inclusive Pre-school, Community-Based Incubator Program
A social enterprise that aims to empower women to register village-based inclusive pre-schools as businesses in their communities. UAFA acts as an incubator, to support the business development and professional development of the women leaders.

CHED – Foundation Course for Childhood Health, Education and Social Development
This is a new course run in partnership between UAFA and Georgetown University, aimed at teaching the core knowledge and skills for people working with children in health, education and social welfare sectors.

Community Based Rehabilitation & Care Services
UAFA runs a range of services for vulnerable children with disabilities, developmental delays or out of parental care. These services operate in 15 regions, mostly State funded.

ENJOY Chocolates
Hand-made chocolates using unique flavours of Azerbaijan, sold to raise funds for UAFA.
