Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) is Azerbaijan’s national tourism organization. Our core tasks include the management of the "Holiday in Azerbaijan" brand, innovative marketing in the most internationally promising markets and the transfer of our knowledge of guests and markets to the domestic tourism industry. In this way we make an important contribution to the competitiveness of the holiday destination Azerbaijan.

Currently we are looking for experienced Event Coordinator (Tədbir üzrə Koordinator) to join Industry and Destination Development Unit. The successful candidate will work on contract basis for 6 months on organising and delivering successful event.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Maintaining and monitoring event plans, event schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures;
• Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order.
• Manage all event set-up, tear down and follow-up all onsite processes at event venue.
• Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings;
• Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings;
• Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings;
• Ensuring event deadlines are met;
• Determining event changes;
• Providing administrative support as needed;
• Undertaking event tasks as required;
• Ensuring events adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each event;
• Assess event risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable;
• Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution;
• Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all event team members;
• Create an event management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, tourism, management or related field of study;
• Two years’ experience in related field;
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills in Azeri and English languages;
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks;
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook;
• Knowledge file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures;
• Ability to work on tight deadlines.
