Job Title: Substation Quality Control Officer
Position Summary / Job Responsibilities:
• To manage and control all quality control activities in accordance with identified Quality control standards, company procedures, client specifications and contract requirements.
• To continuously review quality control processes, procedures and capabilities.
• To manage and direct a team of skilled, semi‐skilled and technically based individuals through sound personnel practices
• To review client QC requirements and ensure that quality control documentation for the project meets contractual requirements.
• To submit inspection requests in coordination with concerned site/project engineers.
• To conduct three phase inspection of all ongoing activities for civil, electrical, mechanical, etc.
• To attend all inspections with client representatives.
• Prepare weekly reports, non-conformance reports and verification of corrective actions
• Check the drawings and submittals used at site for compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure that all works are carried out as per the approved method statements and drawings.
• Assist / coordinate the preparation of the final handing over documents such as QC/QA documents, testing and commissioning reports etc.
• To prepare testing and commissioning method statements in coordination with client representatives and project owner’s representatives.
Required Technical Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Professional certification, such as Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor
• Superb computer competence, including database management
• Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices and defect management practice
Qualification:
• Minimum of 10 years of accumulated in construction QA / QC experience including of engagement in substation projects, and management of substation projects.
