Requirements:

- Technical or High School, major in mechanics or electrics
- Computer literate
- Ability to use mechanical tools and electrical instrument
- Ability to identify trouble shooting of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Ability to identify trouble shooting of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Ability to identify trouble shooting of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Ability to manage own workload and prioritize well
- Able to accurately follow instructions, comply with brand standards and hotel procedures (essential)
- Excellent guest interaction and general verbal communications skills
- Demonstrates effective listening skills
- Pleasant personality; friendly and smiling

Job Duties:

- To provide our Event customers with the professional and reliable technology and communications they require.
- Assist clients with their technology and communication needs, either during a rehearsal before the event or on the day of the event.
- Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
- To greet all event organisers requiring technology and communications as they arrive at the event venue.
- To guide any outside contractors who have been selected by the client to provide their specific technology and communication needs.
- Provides excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.
- To plan for and set up all the AV, technology and communication requirements as listed in an Event Order so that equipment is set up a minimum of one hour prior to the event’s commencement.
- To be fully conversant with all technology and communication equipment offered by the hotel, including but not limited to sound, lighting, projection and Internet capabilities.
- To schedule regular maintenance for all technology and communication equipment offered by the hotel.
- To maintain a supply of spare parts for all equipment e.g. LCD projector globes. An inventory of all such items is required.
- To dismantle all equipment at the end of an event and store safely.
