Procurement Specialist
Job Summary
- The Procurement Specialist delivers high quality purchasing services according to defined procedures, while respecting quantity, quality and timing.
- The candidate ensures the quality of services provided and contributes to the improvement and knowledge management of the purchasing process.
- Successful Procurement Specialists have a comprehensive understanding of procurement including knowledge of the procurement channels, sourcing, contracting, approved supplier lists, and supplier management.
- They work fast, have a passion for customer service and are effective at cross-functional teamwork.
- With advanced technical and supplier knowledge of at least one or two category they have the ability to interact with operations on basic requests.
- Examples of the Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Note: duties of the role may differ, subject to the segment you are appointed to.
- Is responsible for category management, sourcing, contracting, supplier management processing
- Creates purchase orders and follows up on approval and acknowledgement of orders.
- Manages day-to-day interactions with suppliers and field purchasing leaders.
- Forwards complex issues to the hub procurement leader.
- Performs problem solving for complex issues with operations.
- Proposes documentation changes or improvements to process.
Main Qualifications
- In order to apply for this position, applicants MUST meet the following criteria.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, technical, or business discipline.
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in a technical, business, or similar discipline.
- 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain.
- Languages: Russian – Native; English – IELTS 6.5 minimum
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced procurement certification preferred
- Knowledge with understanding of vendor capabilities and capacities.
- Knowledge with HSE policies.
