Job Title – Senior Pipe Stress Engineer

In March 2015 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and KBR announced an agreement to establish a new engineering and support services company in Azerbaijan. The legal entity name of the new company is SOCAR-KBR LLC and provides design, engineering, technical, procurement, construction supervision and project management services for projects across the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas sectors, in the Azerbaijan – Georgia – Turkey (AGT) region. The key objective of this strong partnership is to create a world class Azerbaijan-based EPCm services company that will utilize the strengths of both organisations and deliver top quality results by utilising, developing and promoting Azerbaijani national content. The company has a long term commitment from both organisations.
Primary Role and Responsibilities:
• Under broad direction, supervises and leads a group of engineers.
• Provides technical direction over a group and is responsible for employee performance appraisals and for coaching and developing lower level professionals.
• Plans, budgets, organizes, and controls an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program or an entire engineering program of moderate scope.
• Job role is responsible for a measurable asset such as an assigned staff and budget.
Qualifications:
• BEng, BTech Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
Experience Required:
• minimum of 10 years related experience, with average experience of 15+ years in pipe stress analysis and design of complex piping systems in Offshore Oil and Gas processing related industries involving all areas of pipe stress engineering and design work including support to construction.
• Extensive experience in Pipe Stress Analysis using CAESAR.
