QHSE JUNIOR

Position Summary

This position will be based in Baku and will implement a prevention-focused health, safety, environmental (HSE) and Quality program. The position will report to the QHSE Regional Manager and will act in compliance with Mother Company management system and QHSE Guidelines.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities: General

- Promote zero incident culture throughout the Company and a safe workplace with a proactive approach.
- Support the Regional QHSE and Operation department to achieve Company QHSE goals within Azerbaijan market.
- Perform his duties in compliance with QHSE Management system and KPI targets, demonstrating high commitment to HSE and actively promoting Company and customers’ targets.
- Develop and support implementation of service performance in compliance with corporate procedures and working instructions.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Assigned Project

• Support the QHSE Regional Manager in local management system documents and related reports review.
• Act a as the interface between the Company and local lawyer with the aim of issuing all needed documents to achieve local QHSE permissions or certification, when needed.
• Participation in tender processes (preparation of QHSE documentation) and contract review from Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety perspective
• Draft local QHSE documents (procedures, working instructions, risk assessments, Bridging and Interface document, HSE plan, emergency response plans, etc.),
• Distribute PPE's to the employee and keep updated all related records according to internal procedure
• Arrange medical checks of the employees, manage all related information and records
• Manage the local personnel certifications as per legislation and contract requirements.
• Keep updated QHSE records (training matrix and registers, reports, inspections, PPE receipts, medical checks, Non-conformity reports, MSDS, QHSE excel files, etc.).
• Collect and analyse HSE statistical data and preparation of KPI monthly reports both at project and company level
• Keep updated law register and related evidences
• Keep updated internal QHSE cards system and related follow up
• Participate to incident and/or injuries investigations, identify root causes and develop corrective actions, when needed.
• Support the corporate quality department to implement quality assurance and control program.
• Responsible for environmental management, waste management and related reports according to local laws
• Manage collective preventive equipment maintenance (fire extinguishers, spill kits, safety harness, first aid kits, etc.)

Required

- Required strong can-do attitude and proactive approach.
- Display strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work with direct managers located in headquarter, strong communication skills, fluency in English and IT literacy are a MUST.
- Availability to travel occasionally around Azerbaijan territory where located Clients' fields (onshore and off-shore).
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks, to work according to HSE Manager guidelines, adapt to new/changing situations

Qualification

University Degree (Engineering or equivalent) and minimum 1 year of HSE experience in operations or industrial environment (Oil and Gas sector is preferred).
