Sales/Business Development Manager

A Sales/Business Development Manager works to improve an organization’s market position and achieve financial growth. This person defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Business Development Managers work in a senior sales position within the company. It is their job to coordinate the Sales team and work with other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for their organization. To achieve this, they need to find potential new customers, present to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business. They will also help manage existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied and positive with the company’s activities. They call on clients, often being required to make presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict their clients’ future needs. He/she responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and business development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets

Primary Qualifications:

• Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
• Develop the pipeline of new business coming into the company.
• Prospect and identify potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
• Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization and build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
• Arrange meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals.
• Work with internal team to develop proposals that meet the client’s needs and objectives
• Work with internal technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
• Develop, implement and manage the marketing/PR strategy
• Develops and implements strategic marketing plans, sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objective.
• Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
• Plan, implement and manage marketing and lead generation campaigns and measure results
• Develop and maintain a consistent corporate image
• Ensure company websites and Social Media are kept up to date
• Prepare and present sales and BD reports to senior managers and monitor, prepare and report on sales communications and activity
• Identify and understand client’s business needs and objectives to develop marketing and sales campaigns
• Coordinate liaison between sales and other departments
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
• Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.

ABILITY

• Time management skills.
• Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong ENGLISH communication capabilities
• Contacting potential customers to arrange appointments.
• Speaking with customers using clear and professional language.
• Resolving any sales related issues with customers.
• Making follow-up calls to confirm sales orders or delivery dates.
• Responding to sales queries via phone, e-mail and in writing.
• Exercise independent judgement within established guidelines.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work.
• Coordinate work assignments with other sections, divisions or departments.
• Oil&Gas sphere background is advantageous

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or business administration
• Five (5) years of related sales/BD experience with management experience.
• Knowledge of the Azerbaijan Oil & Gas and other Azerbaijan markets
