Senior Structural Engineer to work for the Project Management Team of an international oil & gas development project
(Only Azerbaijan citizens are eligible for this position)
Location : Baku, Azerbaijan
Key Responsibilities
• Check and approve structural engineering deliverables received from Engineering Contractors;
• Ensure that the Engineering Contractors submit all deliverables on time;
• Perform quality control of the Engineering Contractors’ deliverables;
• Carry out structural design and analysis of steel structures, using both manual and recognized structural engineering software;
• Perform structural design of dynamically stressed structures (fatigue analysis);
• Write verifiable calculation reports;
• Prepare procedures and specifications, as necessary;
• Cross-check and assure compliance with relevant procedures, international standards and Company General Specifications;
• Contribute to tendering process for Construction Contractors;
• Provide field engineering support during construction phase of the project
Skills / Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Civil, or Mechanical Engineering;
• Minimum 10 years of experience of work with Engineering company + Field experience in construction;
• Competency in analytical methods used within discipline, including theoretical background for analysis programs;
• Knowledge of applicable offshore oil & gas industry codes, including API RP 2A-WSD;
• Professional skills in SESAM, or SACS finite element method analysis software for offshore structures;
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D-CAD Software (Tekla, or Inventor);
• Competency in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work;
• Experience in steel structures fabrication;
• Experience in construction engineering support activities;
• Fluency in English
