Vacancy Description
Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer to work for the Project Management Team of an international oil & gas development project. (Only Azerbaijan citizens are eligible for this position)
Location : Baku, Azerbaijan
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in 3D Model Review Sessions, HAZOP and SIL/LOPA Reviews;
• Participate in preparation of Loop Control Narratives, Cause and Effect Matrix for Process, ESD and F&G Systems, logic narratives.
• Check and approve Instrument schedule and lists such as document index, instrument index, DCS & SIS system I/O List, cable schedule, interconnection wiring drawings, termination drawings, junction box schedule, instrument hook-up drawings, data sheets, material take-off prepared by the Engineering and ICSS Contractors;
• Check and approve block diagrams, control / rack room layouts, cable routes, instrument location plans, DCS, SIS, systems loop drawings prepared by the Engineering and ICSS Contractors;
• Ensure that the Engineering and ICSS Contractors submit all deliverables on time;
• Perform quality control of the Engineering Contractors’ deliverables;
• Prepare procedures and specifications, as necessary;
• Cross-check and assure compliance with relevant procedures, international standards and Company General Specifications;
• Contribute to tendering process by participation in Technical Bid Evaluation and Vendor Documents reviews;
• Provide field engineering support during construction & commissioning phase of the project
Skills / Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Electrical-Electronics, or Control Engineering;
• Minimum 10 years of design office and field experience, including execution of FEED and detailed design of control and instrumentation for oil & gas process systems, as well as participation in facility commissioning activities;
• Evidence of training in safety requirements for oil & gas industry offshore installations, including explosion mitigation design;
• Competency in analytical methods used within discipline, including theoretical background for analysis programs;
• Knowledge of applicable offshore oil & gas industry codes;
• Experience in preparation of instrument specification data sheets, instrument loop diagrams, industrial control panel design;
• Experience in logic drawing development;
• Safety Instrumented System ( SIS ) design experience
• Distributed Control System ( DCS ) programming experience;
• Experience in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) specification & selection;
• Familiarity with Smart Plant Instrumentation software;
• Fluency in English
• Technical writing ability
