Regional Financial Controller

Key Accountabilities

• Continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives;
• Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities throughout the assigned region, with a holistic view to the overall business;
• Coordinate and direct regional and local teams in the preparation of budgets, cash flows, financial forecasts and report variances;
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting;
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies with a focus on efficiencies;
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls;
• Work closely with regional and local operations teams on KPIs, commercial tender activities, presentations, benchmarking etc.;

Minimum Qualifications:

• A masters' degree holder in finance/accounting or related disciplines;
• Membership of CIMA, ACCA or other equivalent international accounting associations

Minimum Experience:

 • At least 5 years' financial controller experience at a sizeable company;
• International experience;
• Strong knowledge of local regulations of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan Area is advantage.
• Experience of passing audits
• Experience in the shipping industry is essential and preferably in the offshore industry;
• Experience with maritime business software systems such as ABS Nautical Systems or a comparable system is valued;

• Detail oriented, but with strong analytical thinking and interpersonal skills;
• Excellent verbal and written Communication in English
• Exceptional Presentation and leadership skills. 
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Willingness to travel a lot.
