Position: NDT Supervisor

Work Location: Offshore Construction Vessel

Education: Technical education;

Work experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role

Knowledge of Languages:English (good), Azerbaijani (fluent)

Other Skills/Certificates Required:

• Knowledge of basic principles of non-destructive testing, techniques and equipment of common use in oil & gas industry projects;
• Knowledge of NDT equipment of common use in offshore projects;
• Full understanding of the usage and ergonomy of the equipment to design it in a fully safe way, foreseeing and preventing the most of events that can cause problems to operators;
• Knowledge of safety procedure and safety working instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise NDT activities on site in compliance with stipulated technical, safety and quality procedures, respecting the project deadlines and cost requirements looking at the best compromise between Quality and Productivity both in case of internal service and subcontracted service;
• Train personnel (in case of the company NDT crew coordination) developing their skills and helping in achieving an increasing level of autonomy;
• Execute the activities within own area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE

Requirements;

• Verify the equipment on site;
• Verify the availability of spare parts/consumables on site;
• Carry out troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment;
• Perform, when required, NDT qualifications, providing technical expertise on all NDT matters as required on projects;
• Coordinate and manage the NDT team;
• Ensure that all NDT activities are in compliance with the approved procedures;
• Interface with the NDT Engineer, Production Superintendent, QC Supervisor and Client representative on-site;
• Interface with corporate department representative for organizational and operational aspects;
• Provide support in training of NDT resources and provide feedback of NDT crew to corporate department office;
• Supervise (in case of NDT subcontractor) the NDT activities and evaluate the NDT subcontractor personnel;
• Fully adhere, at all times and irrespective of the work place, to Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies, procedures and requirements;
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager.
