Procurement Buyer

This position is responsible for identifying and procuring the goods and services that an organization requires. They identify external material needs of the organization, find services providers who can supply these goods, negotiate for prices and arrange for the purchase and delivery of the goods. Procurement Buyer determines the purchasing needs of the organization under the supervision of the Procurement Manager  and work with other parts of the organization to forecast demand and evaluate inventory levels, and take orders from within the organization. Procurement Buyers negotiate directly with vendors to get the best possible pricing and payment options. They bid, award, and administer project supply, services and purchase orders to suppliers. They also do cost management to identify areas of potential cost reduction and analyze the impact of pricing changes for goods and services.

Primary Responsibilities:

•             Interfaces with Procurement Manager to plan and prioritize purchasing and Logistics activities.
•             Conducts RFPs, RFQs and quotation analysis as required.
•             Creates PO’s and manages approval process.
•             Transmits and prioritizes approved purchase orders and supporting documents to supplier.
•             Tracks order acknowledgement.
•             Tracks orders and confirms lead times, delivery dates, and costs.
•             Reviews, updates, and maintains purchase orders until they are closed.
•             Ensures orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts; reports non-conformances.,

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Min 2 years’ Experience working within  purchasing and Logistics activities
• Knowledge of Corporate purchasing practices and negotiation strategies.
• Must be able to work independently, follow and obey directions as necessary
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of Azeri;, Russian and English
• Knowledge in hydraulics sphere is advantage
• Technical-level knowledge of English is advantage
