Job Title:  Engineering Team Leader within RDS

Location: Azerbaijan

The Engineering Team Leader will be responsible for the operational management of the RDS Engineering Function within that Office, providing competent engineering and design resources to contracts / projects being undertaken there.
The Engineering Team Leader will also promote and monitor Technical Assurance and HSEQ of the Engineering deliverables in all areas of KCAD activities within that office.
Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager, the Engineering Team Leader will be responsible for the engineering function within the Project and shall:

• Ensure that the technical delivery meets the requirements of the Client’s SOR and Scope of Work.
• Ensure that the technical solution is in accordance with all the relevant current codes, standards, regulations and legislative requirements and that technical integrity is maintained.
Ensure that the project discipline personnel are kept up to date with industry best practise and lessons learned from other RDS projects.

Skills and Experience:

• Responsible for the Engineering Function Organisation and Administration within the assigned Office.
• Define and monitor the Technical Assurance of the Engineering and Design services and deliverables supplied by the assigned Office.
• Provide technical and procedural guidance and support for Engineering and Design staff.
• Maintain satisfactory employee relations and good public and client relations in engineering matters.
• Operational approval of technically competent staff.
• Assess and recommend training and career development requirements of staff.
• Co-ordinate Engineering input to proposals.
• Identify and fulfil the requirements for project assignments for Engineering and Design personnel.
• Ensure that Engineering is adequately represented and contributes to activities where Operations and Maintenance are required.
• Manage the technological development in the Engineering Function and ensure the means of support to new technologies introduced is maintained.
• Assist the Head of Engineering in ensuring the overall department overhead budgets are controlled within plan where these relate to Engineering activities.
• Maintain an overview of all Project work in the assigned Office by regular contact with Project Managers and Team members.
• Ensure the communication of best practice and experience from previous projects is provided to the personnel in the assigned Office.
• Ensure all Engineering personnel are aware of corporate requirements regarding the use of software.

Requirements:

• Relevant Diploma in Engineering.
• Interfacing with and lead where required, other disciplines in multi-discipline projects.
• Confidently contribute in meetings with Clients, suppliers, managers and other personnel at all levels.
• Manage projects from initiation through implementation to completion and final handover.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of software.
• Good working knowledge of BP ETP's, industry Codes of Practice and International Standards for the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Excellent leadership, supervisory, coaching skills.
• Extensive experience with RDS at a senior level.
• Extensive experience with Engineering and Design.
• Detailed understanding of Greenfield and Brownfield expertise within RDS.
• Detailed understanding of Greenfield and Brownfield markets.
• Leadership experience within Engineering industry.
• Excellent command of the English language.
