Chief Mechanical Engineer
Job description
Ability to check the accuracy of requisitions issued by reporting engineers on replacement, change of equipment etc.
Measuring the performance of mechanical components, devices and engines
Agreeing budgets, timescales and specifications with clients and managers
Maintaining and modifying equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient
Experience and background information about heavy equipment
Minimum 7-8 years of experience
Estimates time and cost to complete projects
Researches designs and makes recommendations based on appearance, safety, budget, and function
Performs engineering duties; designs, and tests mechanical devices.
Writes technical reports, handbooks, and bulletins for use by staff or customers
A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
Very good communication skills
A problem-solving ability
Very good physical strength and stamina
Presenting designs to managers and clients
Writing reports and documentation
