Procurement Manager

This position develops and executes the strategic category plans for assigned categories in order to optimize cost savings, service, and total cost of ownership of the assigned category. Leads supplier management and client relationship management. Responsible for ensuring policy compliance, budget control, and process efficiencies by seeking and selecting the lowest total cost of ownership via strategic sourcing to procure goods and services. This includes negotiations, market intelligence, and the creation and management of formal contracts, as well as creating and overseeing internal processes to manage contract flow and renewals.

Primary Responsibilities:

•         Select suppliers, negotiate long-term contracts where applicable, and maintain performance to expectations. Initiate and implement contracts with suppliers by working to ensure overhead costs are minimized and maximum value is received.
•         Work to continually identify cost reduction/saving opportunities.
•         Conduct regular audits to leverage supplier key strategic competencies and improve existing sourcing processes; Integrate strategic improvement activities when required.

Qualifications:

•         Good knowledge in hydraulics sphere
•         Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
•         4- 6 years experience in a supply chain or sourcing role (a focus on service contracts preferred)and in Procurement with a major consumer goods organization
•         Experience working within cross-functional teams in building a sourcing strategy and leading the negotiation process.
•         Demonstrated success negotiating large ($1MM or more) contracts and building relationships across multiple suppliers.
•         Broad knowledge of Corporate purchasing practices and negotiation strategies.
•         Must be able to work independently, follow directions as necessary, and provide recommendations for next steps.
•         Good interpersonal skills, ability to garner positive relationships with internal customers and external suppliers.
•         Excellent communication skills, Interpersonal, communication (written and oral) skills a must
•         Ability to operate independently and successfully in roles of both influence and control, interfacing at senior levels with suppliers, engineering resources, peers and senior company leadership
